I absolutely devoured "Juno and Caine," the second book in D.A. Hahn's Lilith's Legacy series. While I admittedly jumped in without reading the first book, The Vampire and the Nephilim, I found myself completely captivated from the very first page. The story grabbed me and didn't let go, even after I finally went back and read the prequel!

Juno, a strong, fiercely independent Protettori warrior, is a character you instantly root for. Her past is riddled with hardship and betrayal, leaving her with emotional scars that run deep, yet she carries herself with remarkable resilience and a quiet strength that's both inspiring and heartbreaking. Caine, the ancient vampire, is equally compelling. His centuries of battling his own darkness and the manipulative machinations of his sire, Agrat, have left him weary and cynical, but his unwavering loyalty and unexpected vulnerability make him incredibly sympathetic.

The romance between Juno and Caine is slow-burn perfection. It's not a whirlwind affair; instead, it's a gradual unfolding of connection, trust, and mutual healing. Their shared history of trauma creates an intense bond, forged in the crucible of shared struggle and mutual understanding.
